Beaded Tatting

Ladies you inspire me--here is the pattern we talked about adding beads on the picots.

It is great to be here. I haven't sold any lace necklaces yet - but did sell the necklace display

 Now the necklaces are hanging from a lampshade.

Tatting Rings

The next step in the process is Rings-- you use the same motion to create a ring in tatting as a chain- here is a video about tatting rings
I am having so much fun sharing my love of tatting with you ladies

Picots are used to join rings in tatting - place the point of the shuttle in the last picot from the previous ring and lift up the thread of the current ring - sliding the shuttle through the loop- continue making double stitches

Tatting Class Progress

2nd Week of class and we are moving right along - the ladies are doing great! They are creating beautiful double stitchs and working on rings & picots.

This picture shows a chain, ring with one picot, chain. These are all the basic parts to creating beautiful tatted projects. Next week we will put these elements together and follow a pattern.
